This luxury hotel is located at 1670 Portage Avenue Winnipeg, at the busy corner between Portage Avenue and Kenaston Boulevard. The project concludes an addition of a 12,000 square feet Banquet Hall and extensive renovation which affects a total of 34,000 square feet of the existing building. The renovation include adding two commercial kitchens, a dining hall, a buffet restaurant, a total of 5 state of art washrooms, complete re-modeling the front entrance hall, the new meeting centre, the game hall, relocating fire water main and upgrade the sprinkler system. The mechanical designs include:

• Sequenced demolishing of the existing system.
• Complicated plumbing system design for the entire facility, i.e. domestic cold/hot/ recirculation system, plumbing and vent system.
• Make-up air and grease exhaust systems for the two commercial kitchens.
• Multiple air-handling systems to serve individual public areas.
• Commercial kitchen plumbing system, i,e, fat/ oil/ grease interception.
• Wet sprinkler system and standpipe system throughout the entire areas being affected.
