Jubilations Dinner Theatre, West Edmonton Mall, Edmonton Alberta

West Edmonton Mall decided to build a three storey addition to the mall complex, the third floor of the new addition is to house Jubilations Dinner Theatre with a total area of 27,000 square feet, the floor plans including dinner theatre hall up to 500 occupancy, a bar and lounge, a full scale commercial kitchen, stage and support areas, service and administration offices.

Mechanical design includes:

• demand ventilation controls for the dinner theatre areas.
• wet sprinkler system for the entire facility
• A make-up air and grease exhaust system that provides ventilation for the kitchen.
•  A total of four gas fired roof top units serving the entire hall and support areas.
• Demand ventilation control. CO2 sensors are installed in the hall to modulate the outdoor air intake flow to match the occupancy load of the space.
• HRV units for heat recovery in order to maximize energy efficiency.
• Decent washroom layout and commercial grade plumbing fixtures to suit for universal access.
• Kitchen fat/oil/ grease interception system
